In my story, exhaustion was my constant companion as my two travel bags became heavier and heavier while I walked from the Javits Center (mid-west side)to the Brooklyn Bridge (lower east side).

I believe I walked twenty miles in that one day, criss-crossing Manhattan.

My story, about joy and heartache, isn’t half written. The 4,500 words in both parts cover only two hours out of twenty-two.

I have two stories relating to your 9/11 statement: “Who am I to fathom that statement?  But it certainly makes you think about things that happen to happen, after the fact.”

1) My life changing events started with an email I received on 9/11/2000.

One thing: please ask your rabbi about the “three” thing…especially when throwing dirt on an open grave at a funeral. I’ve talked to a few rabbis about this and now have conflicting opinions. I’d like to know what your guy says.
